Richard Gomez (born on April 7, 1966 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino actor, comedian, model, athlete, television presenter, and director. He is one of the famous actors in Philippine Cinema. He graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

Gomez was raised by his grandmother. Before his entry in show business, he worked in a fastfood chain McDonalds. His dream came true when his modelling career begin. After modelling, he pursued an acting career. His mother is the 60s screen siren of 60s Philippine cinema, Stella Suarez. His cousin is Stella Suarez, Jr. aka Pinky Suarez, who was adopted by his parents and raised as his sibling. His father has Spanish-Mexican blood.

He excels in various sports like fencing and basketball. His movie career started when he was cast as the love interest of Maricel Soriano in the 1984 movie Inday Bote. His relationship with Sharon Cuneta was highly publicised during that time as well as with his former girlfriend Dawn Zulueta. He also had a relationship with Patricia Borromeo, a model, but his girlfriend passed away in 2002 due to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. In 1998, he married Lucy Torres with whom he has a child with. In 2002, GOMA transferred to GMA 7 via his first GMA show, "Ang Iibigin Ay Ikaw". On May 1, 2008, Richard and Lucy celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary (April 28, 1998, St. Peter and Paul Parish Church, Ormoc City, Leyte). He is fondly called "Goma". He is an organizer for "Goma Cup" and MAD (Mamamayan Ayaw sa Droga), a campaign against use of illegal drugs and a model of Bench along with his wife and other famous celebrities. He was a Gold Medalist in fencing at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games. Goma has his own restaurant called "FELIX" where he's one of the owners in Greenbelt 5 Makati. Richard is the host of the Philippine edition of Family Feud which aired on GMA Network. He is a GMA Network contract actor.

After his last movie Filipinas in 2003, Gomez makes his comeback via indie film "Bente" which stars Senator Jinggoy Estrada and Iza Calzado. Gomez is planning to run for the congressman of 4th district of Leyte, but he is disqualified and briefly replace by his wife Lucy, after Dingdong Dantes replaces him as Family Feud host.

Goma returns to drama via "Claudine" with Claudine Barreto recently aired on Channel 7.

Goma returns to hosting via a new weekend variety show, P.O.5. currently aired on TV5 (Formerly ABC 5). This was his returning to Kapatid Network after 17 years since his last appearance on his former sitcom, "Tondominium".

Goma returns again to drama via My Driver Sweet Lover formerly aired on TV5, with his co-stars Danita Paner and fellow former Kapuso star JC De Vera also with veteran actors Elvis Presley of the Philippines Eddie Gutierrez & Asia's Queen of Songs Ms. Pilita Corrales.

Goma returns again to drama for TV5 for his former show Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak with his new co-star former Kapuso mainstay Arci Munoz and former beauty queen and current actress Ruffa Gutierrez was recently aired channel 5.

Goma reportedly returned to ABS-CBN 2 after 10 years since his last teleserye Your Honor a 1st pinoy court room drama in 2001, he will be part of his new teleserye Walang Hanggang will be airing sometimes in 1st qtr. of 2012.

His mother Grimilda Santiago Ortiz is a Puerto Rican woman of Italian descent who became a popular opera singer in Manila during the 1960s, and her love for music passed down to her son, Gary. He took his primary and secondary studies in La Salle Greenhills. It was during his high school days, while on a brief stint with the musical group Kundirana, that he devoted himself to music.

Valenciano started performing in 1982 and launched his career in singing and show business on May 13,1983. On the 14th of December 1986, Nelson Herrera and Jasmine Santos had their little angel. Mark Herras as we now call him was really born under the name Mark Nelson Santos Herrera. It was on the latter part of his life that his parents had to go seek separate ways that Jun Herras legally adopted Mark thus making him Mark Angelo Herras. Mark grew up in the Herras' residence in Sta Rosa, Laguna before he joined StarStruck. Actually, he came from a well-off family until a certain incidence happened when his adoptive father got into a scam losing almost everything they have, thus, this is also the reason why Mark joined the said reality search. His efforts paid off and at the end he emerged as one of the Ultimate Survivors together with Jennylyn Mercado.

As Mark joined Star Struck, his talent in dancing was enhanced, earning him a nick name of "Bad Boy of the Dance Floor". This talent was the main reason which got him through Rainier Castillo's (1st Runner-Up), seemingly phenomenal fame, and eventually landed him a few votes higher; crowning him one of the 1st Ultimate Star Struck Survivor of Season One. The other winner was Jennylyn Mercado, who became his love team afterwards, and his 1st showbiz girlfriend.

After winning their respective titles, Mark and Jennylyn were eventually teamed together by their mother network, GMA 7. Later, they got involved personally with each as their careers escalated. But unfortunately, Mark seems to have so many girlfriends aside from Jennylyn, that eventually led to their not-so-sad break-up. One of the main reasons was that of Mark courting Ryza Cenon, another Ultimate Survivor of Star Struck in the second season, while still involved with Jennylyn. The said starlet (Ryza Cenon), denied this accusation vehemently, even turning the tables to Jennylyn herself, accusing the famous young actress to have been feeding lies to the local press and media men, even accusing their own mother network GMA 7 in siding with Jennylyn, just because she is more famous than Ryza. Rico Blanco (born March 17, 1973) is a Filipino singer, songwriter and musician. As a solo artist and with his former band, Rivermaya, Blanco has so far recorded, written and produced more local and regional number one hits than any other musician since 1994; and had sold over a million albums in the Philippines and Southeast Asia during that period.

Rico was one of the founding members of Filipino rock band Rivermaya, in varying roles as vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist, and main songwriter from 1993 to 2007.

Aside from his songwriter credits in his solo album and in Rivermaya, Blanco also arranged and wrote music for various side projects such as the United Nations MDG theme "Tayo Tayo Rin"; the Philippine Department of Tourism theme "Biyahe Tayo" (both of which were performed by veteran Filipino musicians, such as Freddie Aguilar, the Apo Hiking Society, Lea Salonga, and Sharon Cuneta). He also co-wrote a theme song for the Southeast Asian Games, "Posible".

Rico Blanco is also a stage and film actor. He starred alongside Noel Cabangon and Joey Ayala in the Music Museum and 70s Bistro production of Jesus Christ Superstar and also starred alongside Epy Quizon and Christopher de Leon in the independent film Nasaan si Francis. He is also the voice behind Ryusuke (Ray) Minami in the Philippine edition of BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad. He also directed several music videos, won an award for his work as musical scorer/arranger for HIT Productions. Blanco also dabbles in oil painting and photography.

Among the albums Blanco produced are Slapshock's Project 11-41, Sugarfree's Sa Wakas, The Dawn's Salamat millennium edition single, and Teeth's I Was a Teenage Tree and Rivermaya's Free album which won him NU Rock award for Producer of the year. Blanco also used to host MYX Live, Blanco also composed scores for many commercials & other varoius corporate functions around the Philippines.

In May 2007, Blanco announced his departure from Rivermaya. His last performance with Rivermaya was on May 4, 2007 at the Metro Bar (in which two other high profile Filipino bands opened the show, Pupil and Sandwich; two spin-off bands of the legendary pop-rock group Eraserheads). It was coincidental that Rico’s first gig as singer for Rivermaya was also held at the Metro Bar (formerly known as Kampo). Furthermore, first ever Rivermaya gig (in which Blanco was keyboardist) was in Las Pinas City in 1993 where the band was the opening act for Eraserheads.

In 2007, he launched a clothing line for Philippine clothing brand Human. He also spends his time with philanthropic work. In late 2007 he came out of retirement to sing for the Sumilao farmers who walked 1,700km from Bukidnon to reach Department of Agrarian Reform in Metro Manila. Blanco also wrote and produced an electronic dance music song titled "Control" for the album of Nancy Castiglione.

In June 12, 2008 Warner Music Philippines, launched Rico's first single “Yugto” which marked his personal comeback and entry in the Filipino music industry as a solo artist. His first album titled "Your Universe" was released on August 8, 2008. Currently, Rico's live band is usually composed of Robert Dela Cruz (of Queso and Skychurch) on drums and Ricci Gurango (formerly of Mojofly and Hungry Young Poets) on bass, while Rico plays guitars and keyboards. Many other session musicians join him on stage from time to time.

In November 2008, just a few months after starting his career as a solo artist, Rico won the Vocalist of the Year award in the NU Rock Awards.

In December 2008, he was heralded RX93.1 OPM Solo Artist of the Year for 2008. He also opened for Myx Mo 2008 and performed "Yugto." Aside from his band, The Mandaluyong Children's Choir, Manila Symphony Orchestra, Kulintangan musicians (headed by Malou Matute), and various Percussionists (headed by Iggy de Dios), all performed with him. The opening set was touted to be the biggest in the event's history.

In February 2009, he won as "Best New Artist" in the recently concluded Myx Music Awards 2009.

Hailing from Pacita, San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines, Rico Blanco was an active youth leader and became the founding Sangguniang Kabataan chairman in his hometown. His mother is Purita Granados-Blanco and his father is Rene Aldeguer Blanco. He has 3 siblings Heart Blanco-Elizon, Rey "King" Blanco and Patrice Blanco.

He graduated grade school at O. B. Montessori Center, high school at the Benedictine Abbey (San Beda College Alabang) and finished his Management Economics degree at the Ateneo de Manila University at the early age of 19.

When he was younger, Rico was one of the main soloists in his parish's choir in Pacita Complex, San Pedro, Laguna, often singing the most challenging soprano and bass parts because of his wide vocal range. He is a totally self taught musician and used to practice playing the piano more than five hours a day.

At a young age, Rico listened heavily to his uncle's records which included the Beatles, jazz and 1970s rock. He also listened to Filipino artists such as Deans December, Violent Playground, Identity Crisis, Urban Bandits, Joey Ayala, among others. The music he listened to growing up is largely credited for his musical style up to the present.

A trendsetter, Rico Blanco and his wide influence has always made him one of the most sought after endorsers. He has already endorsed brands in telecom, fastfood, home entertainment, software, and mobile phones.

In 2003, Blanco was the first solo musician tapped to be a Pepsi ambassador when the brand decided to enlist local endorsers. The success of this bold and unprecedented move started a trend in musicians becoming endorsers for major brands.

Blanco currently endorses HUMAN, a clothing label, debuting his own t-shirt designs just recently. He has advertised for Ginebra San Miguel gin as the music icon, together with billiard champion Efren Reyes and basketball superstar James Yap.

Janno started out in 1986 as one of the members of the hit teen variety show That's Entertainment on GMA Network. Her mother (Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta) hails from Santa Ana, Pampanga while her father (Pablo Cuneta; 1910-2000) was the mayor of Pasay City for decades. She is half-Tagalog in paternal side and fourth-Kapampangan and fourth-Spanish both in maternal side.

Sharon first appeared on Philippine pop charts in 1978 as a 12 year old, singing the tune "Mr. D.J." The tune became wildly popular and earned her the title of "D.J.'s Pet" (which was also the name of her first album). Other hit albums followed, and Cuneta was asked to sing many movie soundtracks of the time - becoming the first "movie soundtrack star" in the country. In 1988, Sharon did a lux soap comercial, where she took a bubble bath and said before they touch her skin, her skin belongs to Lux. She earned money for that comercial.

She was given films from Viva Films. At age 15, she starred in her first feature film, 1981 Dear Heart paired with fellow teeny-bopper Gabby Concepcion. Sharon is the first Filipina artist to sell out at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium first in 1988 and her latest June 11th, 2005 concert. Her poster is enshrined in The Shrine's Hall of Fame next to stars Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand and the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. She created a traffic jam in the 90's and puzzled the former Mayor of Los Angeles Tom Bradley. After hearing of her success, the mayor attended the concert and awarded Sharon with an Honorary Key to the City of Los Angeles.

The biggest trade-off of his career, however, is his education. Diether was a second year physical therapy student at De La Salle University in Dasmarinas, Cavite, when he was bitten by the show biz bug. It was his grandmother, who urged him to take up physical therapy. After all, he comes from a family of doctors. His last name is Pascual.

It was ABS-CBN Talent Center director Johnny Manahan, who advised him to use Ocampo, his mom's maiden name. "I regret that I wasn't able to finish college when I entered show biz," says Diether. "But an opportunity like this comes only once." The eldest child in a brood of three, Diether describes himself as a reluctant actor. He never imagined himself acting before the cameras.

When he was in college, he got interested in music. He formed a garage band with his campus friends and played alternative rock. But it took acting workshops with Peque Gallaga (film director) to hone Diether's talent, before he became an actor. Today, Diether, is happy about the way his career is turning out. "Everything I planned to achieve, I was able to do in less than five years, which was the original timetable," he says. He credits director Johnny Manahan and ABS-CBN for his flourishing career. He has also been handled by resident ABS-CBN directors "They were the ones who motivated me to take up acting seriously," Diether says. His show biz earnings are apparently more than enough for him to maintain a comfortable lifestyle and provide a better life for his family.

To date, he has purchased a townhouse for his mom, who moved from Cavite to Quezon City, Philippines. He is also thinking about buying a bigger house for himself. "Four years ago, when I moved to this place, I thought the space was big enough for me," Diether says. "But now, I find it so cramped because of the things I've been getting. Hopefully, I can get my own townhouse soon." From TV, Diether has made a smooth transition to the movies. He has appeared in a number of big screen blockbusters in the Philippines.

Aside from his immediate family, Milby did not grow up with many Filipinos around. Yet the talented Fil-Am was no foreigner to his mother's country. He, along with his family, had visited the Philippines several times before. At one time he did take a shot at Philippine showbusiness. But pressing personal matters then prodded him to return to the States.

In his March 2005 return to the Philippines, Milby decided to seriously pursue a career in showbusiness and modeling. At the time, he temporarily stayed with relatives in Bulacan. Everyday he would take the bus to Manila to answer casting calls and auditions for modeling. Results were not always encouraging but his tenacity did yield some fruit. Miles' next movie, Sanib, further damaged her acting career as it grossed only 8.2 million PhP in the box office despite its P25 million budget and massive marketing by Regal Films. It was universally panned by film critics as a poor man's copycat of The Exorcist. In 1982, Fernandez released her first LP, Pops, and started co-hosting the TV variety series Penthouse Live! with Martin Nievera. Regine Encarnacion Ansong Velasquez was born into a loving and supportive family on April 22, 1970 in Manila, Philippines. At an early age her parents recognized that she was a gifted singer and they quickly enrolled her into local and national singing contests in the Philippines. She didn't win every one she entered, but she did perform well enough for the family to make her success a number one priority.

The Velasquez family moved out of Manila to Leyte, in order for Regine to work with some prestigious voice coaches and go through a ritual that her father believed would strengthen her voice. Apparently, he would submerge his young daughter up to her neck in the sea and have her run through her singing exercises. Whether it actually made a difference is still debatable.

Boasting a trained and stronger voice, Regine entered 200 contests in her amateur days and won an impressive 67 of them. If that doesn't sound like an impressive feat, imagine a golfer winning 67/200 tournaments or a NASCAR driver pulling off the same percentages.

Of those 67 victories, the most important was the one she earned for her performance at the career-launching Bagong Kampeon Competition. She breezed through the opening rounds facing little resistance and was pegged as the narrow favorite to win the finals. Before she took the stage, judges and fans were expecting a performance much like what they had seen in the qualifying stages. When she launched into the first bars of "In Your Eyes," the audience knew something special was happening. Velasquez delivered what is generally regarded as the performance of her life and was rewarded accordingly. Within weeks, she found herself in a local recording studio working on her debut single.

In spite of the lack of success of her first single, Velasquez was still very much a celebrity and in demand for appearances. One such appearance in 1987 had a great impact on her career. She was invited to appear on a local talk show to give an interview and perform. Backstage she met Ronnie Henares, a major player in the Asian music industry, who agreed to become her manager. And with his first act as manager, he hired her a decent producer and set to work on an album. Regine was released in 1987 to critical and commercial success.

Having a hit album in the Philippines was one thing, but Velasquez ached to be an international star. In 1989, Velasquez entered the Asia-Pacific Singing Contest as an official representative of the Philippines. By the time the show ended, she became the pride and joy of the entire nation and was crowned champion of one of Asia's most prestigious contests.

The exposure rocketed her from Filipino celebrity to Asian music superstar. Almost overnight she began selling out stadium concerts and put out several multi-platinum albums in Asia, such as Drawn, R2K and Regine Live! Songbird Sings the Classics. In 2001, she released Reigne, her first offering of original material in two years.

Music, it turns out, was only the first arena for her success. As a spokesperson, she helped increase the presence of American fast-food chains like KFC and Wendy's in Asia. As an actress, she appeared in a number of Filipino films that, it's safe to say, succeeded exclusively because of Regine's star power. As a television host, her music show Star For A Night, has continually received high ratings since its inception in 2000.

Regine Velasquez achieved every goal she set for herself as a young girl: multi-platinum success, wealth, fame, and scores of accolades.
